Code Compliance Division Welcome to the City of Punta Gorda's Code Compliance Division information page. Through enforcement of local codes and standards and working together with the residents, property owners, business owners, and neighborhood associations, Code Compliance helps facilitate an attractive and safe environment for our community. We strive to investigate complaints quickly and thoroughly, as well as acting proactively. The Special Residential Overlay District (SRO) has been established for residents of Punta Gorda Isles, Burnt Store Isles, and Burnt Store Meadows (PGI Sections 1 through 12, 14, 15, 17, 18, 24, 26 and 27).
