Jammer's Youth Basketball League
Punta Gorda Police Officers started the Jammers basketball program in 2001 as a way to reach out to at-risk aged youth in the community. The league has expanded every year. The primary focus of the league is to build character, teach the importance of sportsmanship, enhance the lines of communication between police officers and the youth in our community, as well as to improve players' social skills.
The Punta Gorda Police Department's Jammer's Basketball League is a free, summer-time league, designed to reach youth between the age of 10 and 13 years old. Space is limited to the first 90 registered participants.Registration forms must be turned into the Punta Gorda Police Department, 1410 Tamiami Trail, Punta Gorda, by Friday April 27th, 2012. Registration forms are available at the following locations:

Dates to Remember:
- Jammer's Skills Assessment Day will be April 28th, 2012- 10am-12pm
at South County Regional Park, 670 Cooper Street, Punta Gorda,
inside the gymnasium.
- Practices will begin April 30th
- Jammer's Opening Day will be May26th- (First Games)
- Last Game will be Saturday, August 4th- Jammer's Tournament
