The City of Punta Gorda is committed to continuously improving access to our services by all users, including individuals with disabilities

Our website offers a wide range of information and services, and we recognize that for users with disabilities, some material on our site may pose challenges.   The City of Punta Gorda is actively continuing its efforts to address any challenges associated with its website.  While the City can define its own standards for accessibility and is not currently required to confirm to any particular standard in order to meet obligations under the Americans with Disabilities Act (“ADA”), we are, continuing all efforts to make the website fully usable by those with disabilities.  The City is taking private industry standards into consideration, including Website Contact Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 and 2.1.

We make every attempt for all our visitors to have a pleasant online experience. Please consider using the Userway Plugin available at the top of every page, which can assist with, among other things, keyboard navigation, increased text size, color contrast, highlighting links, and reading a page.

Additionally, if you are looking for mouse and keyboard alternatives, there are speech recognition software, websites, and apps that may help you navigate web pages and online services. This software allows the user to move focus around a web page or application screen through voice controls. You may download the latest free version of Adobe Reader in order to improve the viewing of PDF files.
