As the public records custodian for the City of Punta Gorda, the City Clerk receives and responds to all public records requests as provided for in State Statute. Such a request is not required to be in writing, nor is the requestor required to provide their name or an explanation as to why the request is being made. Please Note: To search and/or obtain official records of property liens claimed by the City of Punta Gorda, please contact the Charlotte County Clerk of Courts Office online at www.co.charlotte.fl.us or call (941) 637-2131. To request a lien payoff amount, requestors must provide the City Clerk's Office with the Official Records (O.R.) Book and Page Number corresponding to the recorded lien.
