 The City of Punta Gorda's government offices will be closed on Friday, July 4, in observance of Independence Day. Press Release Independence Day 2025

Due to holiday closures, the recycling schedule has been changed. Residents with Friday, July 4, recycling will have their recycling collected on Saturday, July 5. This also includes special e-waste requests. 

Residents of the City of Punta Gorda will notice NO CHANGE in their trash or yard waste collections during this holiday. Commercial customers of the City of Punta Gorda will notice NO CHANGE in collection service during this holiday. 

As collection times may vary, residents are reminded to have all materials out at the curb the evening before or NO LATER than 5 a.m. on the day of collection.
