Dr. Deborah "Debi" Lux is a retired dentist with a remarkable background of service,
both in her profession and to her country. A graduate of the University of Minnesota
Dental School, she dedicated two years to dentistry before joining the U.S. Navy as a
dental officer aboard the USS Emory S. Land, serving honorably with the rank of
Lieutenant.

In her civilian life, Debi’s achievements include establishing a private dental practice
and creating an endowment to support hygiene students—a testament to her
commitment to help others avoid the financial hardships she experienced while
pursuing her own career goals.
Beyond her dental career, her civic engagement runs deep. Debi and her husband
Sean, who is an Air Force Veteran, founded Collier Lee Honor Flight, a 501(c)(3) all
volunteer nonprofit organization that honors veterans by facilitating a one day trip
to Washington D.C. to visit and reflect at memorials honoring their sacrifices.
Her extensive community work has earned her multiple accolades, including the
Women of Distinction 2023 and Women of Initiative 2015 awards, recognition as a
Leadership Collier graduate, and prestigious honors such as the Seven Seals award
and Rotary’s Paul Harris recognition, as well as a proclamation from the City of
Naples.

Dr. Lux’s philanthropic efforts extend to numerous local groups and causes,
demonstrating her and her husband's commitment to community enrichment. Some
of these include: Do the Right Thing, Charlotte Harbor Environmental Center, Peace
River Botanical Gardens and the Peace River Wildlife Center. Throughout her life,
Dr. Lux has been a part of various organizations, including Kiwanis, the Naples
Chamber of Commerce, American Dental Association, Florida Dental Association,
American Legion, Military Officers Association, Punta Gorda Rotary, alongside her
continued involvement with Honor Flight.
Now serving as the Mayor for Punta Gorda City Council, Debi will continue to dedicate her
time to supporting many groups and causes with Sean, who continues to practice as
an attorney.

Her life has been marked by service, compassion, and a commitment to making a
positive impact on the lives of others.
