Project Description

Drainage improvements for Corto Andra/Boca Grande area, which may include a retention pond bank. The project will enable the City to maintain a defined level of service that water will not stand in swales more than 72 hours following the last rainfall.

Project Update 

• All needed properties have been acquired.
• Staff has updated the master drainage agreement with the railway.
• Environmental Review Record has been completed.
• Bid documents are under revision and will be released for solicitation upon completion and approval by granting agencies.
• The design plans are currently at 100% pending comment review.  The design plans are anticipated to complete by April, however, will be subject to permitting agency approvals.
• Staff and the design firm are in communication with the various funding agencies. Bi-Weekly project progress meetings continue to keep the project design tracking in preparation of construction this fiscal year.
• Governor Ron DeSantis approved the Boca Grande Water Quality Improvement project for a $1 million local waters fixed capital outlay grant aiding – water project from general fund revenue funds.
