The City of Punta Gorda's first annual Citizen Summit was held March 24, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Punta Gorda Isles Civic Association. The event was an opportunity for staff to share information on upcoming projects and issues and for residents to provide feedback to staff for the City Strategic Plan update.

Information was provided and questions and feedback were received at department booths. Commonly asked questions were also used as talking points, and those questions and their answers can be found in the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) section to the right.

Four breakout presentations provided an opportunity for residents to hear more in-depth information on the City's utilities infrastructure from Utilities Director Tom Spencer, the City's website from IT Systems Analyst Alicia Oates, property taxes from Finance Director Kristin Simeone, and Public Works operations from Public Works Director Ron Everts. Videos of their presentations are available on the City's YouTube channel.
